……(Except for Some of Us)
Well that wasn’t what a lot of people expected – a final game featuring UConn and Michigan, that is. TNT’s highly esteemed Ernie Johnson, in fact, claimed following the second game of a surprising Final Four outcome that “Nobody saw this coming.” Well, maybe Ernie should meet some of our EQE March Madness participants, because five of our entries predicted just such a matchup in the final game. Among those are the only two possibilities to win it all, Epic Fried Chicken, who finishes first with a Michigan win, and Shizcity 1, who walks away with a first place finish with a UConn win.
Actually Epic Fried Chicken finishes in the money, regardless of the outcome, notching a third place finish with a UConn win. But interestingly, along with that UConn win, Epic Train Wreck would finish second, giving the Epic franchise a two-three finish, potentially profiting more greatly than by finishing first overall. How’s that for a quandary? Finish first and get your name in the record books forever or finish second and third and come away a richer person but a virtual nobody in EQE March Madness memories? Tough call.
Steve is Boss is another entry that finishes in the money, regardless of the outcome too, finishing either second or fourth, pending a Michigan or a UConn win, respectively.
The remaining possibilities are a mish mash of potential bottom feeder combinations that are listed below for your mish mash interest.
And finally this reminder – if you haven’t already submitted your entry fees to your respective collector, please try to get that done as soon as you can as we want to get our winners paid in a somewhat efficiently manner. Meanwhile, best of luck to those eight remaining EQE March Madness contestants!
