Congratulations to our 2026 EQE March Madness Champion, Gordon Bjorkman III, who boldly and accurately predicted Michigan to triumph over the University of Connecticut in the Championship game. Only 19 of our 118 entries had Michigan taking the title, and somehow three of those had Michigan winning over UConn. Of course, those other two entries had podium finishes too, with Steve is Boss winding up in second place plus Far From Feral placing fifth. Both of those entries came from Jeff Baum who tells us that those picks were actually made by his cats. No word from Gordon as to whether or not his pet chickens helped out in choosing the winner, but if there’s a lesson to be learned for the rest of us, it’s probably best to let your animals do the picking.
Our third place finisher is Calvin17, entered by long time pool participant Mark Abrams. And finishing fourth is DWG2, another long time participant, and former champion, Dave Getty. Nicely done to all of our winners and to all of our participants, actually. We hope you had a little fun along the way and enjoyed the competition as much as we here atheadquarters did. Hopefully we’ll see you all back for another try next year!
